Riser Block

A riser block is an accessory used with band saws to increase the maximum cutting height or resaw capacity of the tool. Riser blocks are typically made of cast iron or steel and are installed between the upper and lower sections of the band saw frame, extending the distance between the blade guides and the table. The installation of a riser block may require a longer blade and adjustments to the blade tension and tracking system to ensure proper cutting performance.
